Outpatient addiction & mental health treatment
Outpatient addiction and mental health treatment on the ground where courage has always called Arlington home.
Start here
We offer standalone addiction treatment, standalone mental health treatment, and integrated dual-diagnosis care — so you get the right plan, whether one condition is driving the struggle or both are intertwined.
Partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and medication-assisted treatment for substance use. We treat alcohol, opioids, stimulants, and prescription dependence alongside the mental health that drives them.
See addiction programsOutpatient psychiatric care and therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. Our clinicians address both diagnoses together so neither gets left behind.
See mental health programsWhen addiction and mental health occur together, treating one without the other rarely holds. We provide integrated outpatient care for both conditions under one coordinated plan.

When outpatient care is not enough
Sometimes recovery starts with a higher level of care. When detox, residential, or inpatient treatment is the safest first step, we coordinate placement with trusted, vetted providers and take the guesswork out of the handoff.
We only refer to providers we have personally vetted for clinical quality, safety, and clear communication. From the first call to the day you step into treatment, our team walks with you through the process — so you are never left to figure it out alone.

Our programs
Evidence-based care, personalized to where you actually are in recovery — not where a brochure says you should be.
Our most structured outpatient level of care — 6 hours a day, 5 days a week of clinical programming, holistic care, and therapy while you sleep in your own bed each night.
5 days/week · 6 hrs/day
Group and individual therapy three to five times a week, with morning and evening tracks so treatment fits around work, school, and family.
3–5 days/week · day or evening
MAT with Suboxone, Vivitrol, and naltrexone for substance use, plus psychiatric medication management for depression, anxiety, and other conditions. Medication is part of a plan, not the whole plan.
Medically-managed
Board-certified psychiatric evaluation and ongoing treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder alongside substance use.
Psychiatry on staff
When detox, residential, or inpatient care is the right first step, we coordinate placement with trusted, vetted providers and take the guesswork out of the handoff. Your care plan continues with us the moment you are ready for outpatient treatment.
Vetted partner network
Weekly therapy, relapse-prevention groups, and alumni support that keeps the structure in place long after formal programming ends.

How it works
Most people who reach out aren't sure what level of care they need. Our process is built to remove the guesswork, move quickly, and make sure the next step feels clear.
A free, confidential assessment with a clinician — not a call center. Zero pressure, even if you're only gathering information. We listen to what's happening now and what you've already tried, so nothing gets missed.
Our admissions team confirms your benefits and tells you exactly what's covered before you begin anything. No surprise bills, no waiting days for an answer. If you don't have insurance, we'll talk through self-pay options too.
You begin a treatment plan built around your diagnosis, your schedule, and the life you're trying to get back to. Whether that's PHP, IOP, outpatient care, or a higher level of care through a trusted partner, your path is matched to you — not the other way around.
Insurance accepted
We work with the commercial plans families across Arlington, Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland actually carry — Anthem, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, Sentara Health Plans, UMR, and Johns Hopkins Health Plans. Send us your card and we'll confirm your outpatient behavioral health benefits — usually within one business hour.

Don't see your plan? Call us — we also work with out-of-network benefits and self-pay.
